Philippines Central Bank Head: Space to Adjust Policy if
Needed

There is room to adjust monetary policy if
conditions warrant, the head of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Amando Tetangco
told Dow Jones Newswires in an interview Saturday. Mr. Tetangco said that for
the remainder of this year and next year, inflation will continue "to be
manageable," with average inflation for both years likely being closer to the
bottom end of the bank's 3%-5% inflation target.
